Hold onto your butts! Go Jurassic on Universal’s mindblowing new rollercoaster ride!
At the time of its launch, the Jurassic Park ride at Universal’s theme park blew fans’ minds and brought them closer than ever to the incredible dinosaurs found within the Jurassic franchise. So, when the studio reveals plans for an all-new ride based on the iconic Velociraptor – we take notice!
Universal Orlando Resort has officially unveiled the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, an all-new rollercoaster which is said to be Florida’s tallest and fastest ride – which will be launching in Summer 2021. Let’s check out the cool new teaser:
Sadly, the teaser doesn’t feature any “actual” footage aside from the beautiful conceptual artwork – which looks incredible – but it does offer a tantalizing taste of what lies in store for us come Summer 2021.
The Jurassic World VelociCoaster has been under construction for a while now and has been described as a “new species of coaster” that will send guests rocketing up higher than 150 feet in the air at speeds of 70 mph. The ride will also “feature an original story that expands upon the thrills, dinosaurs, and environments fans have seen on the big screen,” and will feature footage of several Jurassic World cast-members, including Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, and BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu.
This new ride looks thrilling, exciting, and absolutely stomach-turning – but it should set us up perfectly for the arrival of Jurassic World: Dominion which roars into multiplexes on June 11, 2021.
