Hawkeye - Disney Plus

Has Hailee Steinfeld signed on to play Kate Bishop in Hawkeye?

It’s happening! Marvel Studios is coming back to life.

This year has been a year that’s going to be hard to forget for a while…and then again, maybe we’ll make sure to forget it. Marvel Studios, for the first time since 2009! will not have a single one of their shows or movies drop this year. Thankfully, next year seems like it’ll be a lot better.

On January 15, we’ll be introduced to the MCU’s (Marvel Cinematic Universe) first crack at a television show in WandaVision. After that, we’ll just have to hold on for the ride. In May we’ll finally get Black Widow on the big screen (hopefully,) Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is already finished filming, and Spider-Man 3 is underway filming as we speak. And we can’t forget The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the What If…? animated series, or even potentially Loki.

That leads me to a Disney+ series that will begin filming real soon; Hawkeye. It’s going to allegedly start filming within the week and now it’s been seemingly confirmed that Hailee Steinfeld will indeed play the lead role of Kate Bishop in the series thanks to an Instagram post she shared just yesterday! Here it is.

Of course, everyone freaked out. There was a rumor a few months ago that she had been cast in the lead role as Kate which only seemed perfect considering that I couldn’t see anyone else in the role but this vague confirmation has only lifted my spirits, even more, this week.

2020 isn’t over yet but it’s close to being nothing more than a what-the-heck-was-that-all-about-memory. Now, we can look forward to a new year…a year with Marvel Studios entertainment in it and I am ready for all of it.
