Warner Bros. debuts an all-new logo for the mother of all monster smackdowns!
Last night, Warner Bros. announced that many of their biggest movies from the 2021 release calendar would be unleashed on HBO Max on the same day as they debut in theatres. Ordinarily, this news would be noteworthy enough, but in amongst the reveal was an all-new logo for Godzilla vs. Kong.
Despite being caught up in the tidal wave of COVID-19 cancellations, the mother of all monster smackdowns is finally heading to a screen near you on May 21, 2021. and now Warner Bros. has given us our first look at the logo that will adorn the gluttony of posters and merchandise that will accompany the film. Check it out:
Here’s the official synopsis:
‘In a new world where man and monster now coexist, Monarch must lead the way to a prosperous future alongside the Titans, keeping humanity in check. However, rival factions that want to manipulate the Titans for war begin to rise under the guise of a nefarious conspiracy, threatening to wipe out all life on the planet. Meanwhile, on Skull Island, strange seismic activity draws the attention of Godzilla and Kong alike’
Godzilla Vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Brian Tyree Henry, and Rebecca Hall amongst others from a screenplay by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein. Adam Wingard directs the film for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures and both companies are behind the film’s release.
