First Look | The ‘Alien vs Predator’ Scar Bust Has Been Updated by CoolProps

The 2018 rendered sculpt has been completely overhauled to deliver a sensational piece of movie memorabilia
Despite its impressiveness, the original render of the CoolProps Alien vs. Predator Scar bust didn’t quite capture the likeness of the juvenile hunter. However, determined to deliver the best version of the character they could, the studio went back to the drawing board and called upon the services of creature effects masters Amalgamated Dynamics Inc. The collaboration worked tirelessly to update the bust and completely replaced the face sculpt, added new teeth, and even re-sculpted the armor pieces to be more screen accurate.
Now, with the final paint job applied, CoolProps are back to present us with our first look at the limited edition bust and I’m not ashamed to admit it – but they’ve done a tremendous job! Even better, pre-orders are already live at Sideshow Collectibles.

We are pleased to announce the new updated version for AVP SCAR PREDATOR.
This movie-accurate bust is based on the original screen-used suit, originally created by ADI studios. During the past few months, this lifesize bust has been reworked to offer an upgraded version with a new face sculpt, new teeth, and new refined hard surface elements (such as shoulder plates, armors, and backpack…). The dreads were individually reworked as well with a new surface treatment. And finally, ADI Studios did the Art Direction for the brand new paint job.

Wow. I am blown away by the quality of this impressive sculpt and the tireless work of both CoolProps and ADI Studio, who worked on the creature effects for the film has paid dividends. The craftsmanship is exquisite, and Predator fans everywhere will take delight in owning this wonderful piece of movie memorabilia.
Sadly there are only 250 pieces being made available, meaning this will be the ultimate Predator collector’s item! The bust, which is available for pre-order via Sideshow Collectibles, is now due for release between February and March of 2021 and is priced at a whopping $1,299. Thankfully, Sideshow has a choice of payment plans in place to help soften the blow. It may hurt your wallet, but it’s going to be worth it!
