“Get your giant bowl of cereal ready! #TheRealGhostbusters are bringing back Saturday morning cartoons,” the franchise’s Twitter account tweeted.

The hit-animated series was based on the original 1984 movie and featured all four original team. As well as their sarcastic secretary Janine, and everyone’s favorite green ball of ectoplasm, Slimer. The show ran for seven seasons from 1986-1991 and included several episodes with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
The move to bring the classic series to the small screen is guaranteed to keep us entertained until Ghostbusters Afterlife hits our screens. Unfortunately, because of the COVID pandemic, Jason Reitman’s sequel has been delayed on more than one occasion. But with the vaccine now being circulated around the world, hopefully, we’ll be strapping on our proton packs sooner rather than later. In other words, we are more than ready for more adventures alongside the superstars of the supernatural!
Directed by Jason Reitman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, and Mckenna Grace. The film will release in theaters on Nov. 11.
