
Pen 15 star Maya Erskine signs on for the Disney Plus Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi series
The Disney Plus Obi-Wan Kenobi series has added ‘Pen 15‘ star Maya Erskine to the cast. Even though Lucasfilm all but confirmed the final cast a few weeks back, it seems there’s always room for talent in the galaxy far, far away.
Deadline is reporting that Erskine has signed on for a three-episode story arc in a supporting role capacity. The nature of her involvement remains a secret at this point. Those pesky NDA’s know no bounds. But by adding a talent of Erskine’s caliber to the cast; the Disney Plus series is shaping up to be something truly memorable.
THE CAST
The cast list is packed full of exciting new additions to the galaxy far, far away. Alongside franchise mainstay Ewan McGregor, the cast is list boasts the talents of Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, and Kumail Nanjiani. Other new additions to the cast are Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr. Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. More notably, the series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.
THE STORY
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and writer Joby Harold. The casting director is Carmen Cuba.
