The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off series ANDOR will release in the fourth quarter of 2022 says Disney’s Chief Financial Officer
The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off series ANDOR has moved a step closer to release – and it’s farther away than you might like. With 2021 drawing to a close and The Book OF Boba Fett right around the corner, one would think that Andor would be emerging from lightspeed sooner rather than later. However, according to Disney’s CFO Christine McCarthy; Diego Luna’s solo series won’t be arriving on Disney+ until the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022.

This all points to Andor arriving on the streamer sometime between July and October 2022. However, it is worth noting that the series will now be the third live-action Star Wars series of the year after The Book Of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi. And hot on the heels of Andor will be the highly-anticipated series of The Mandalorian. In addition, the second season of The Bad Batch will be headlining the streamer somewhere in between; meaning 2022 is packed full of Star Wars awesomeness.

In terms of release, it seems that Disney has allocated a live-action series for each part of the year. This guarantees the fans a steady flow of fresh Star Wars content. And with The Bad Batch running concurrently with its live-action counterparts. fans won’t have time to catch their breath. It’s reasonable to assume that the year will kick off with the adventures of Boba Fett. Dominating the second quarter of the year is Obi-Wan Kenobi before Star Wars: Andor gets its premiere. 2022 will then be capped off by the long-awaited release of The Mandalorian season three.

And if that isn’t enough to have you dancing around like a Tusken Raider at a Bantha barbecue; Star Wars: Ahsoka, Lando, The Acolyte, and A Droid Story are all slated to begin filming soon. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, tomorrow’s Disney Plus Day has promised a slew of new announcements. So, the sky is the limited for what awaits us in the coming years. And that is an exciting prospect.

Stay with us tomorrow for all the big reveals as they emerge. We will be live-tweeting the event as well as updating the site with all the big news as it happens. You’ll never miss a thing with Future of the Force.
