Paramount+ has released the nostalgia-filled opening titles from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The breathtaking sequence clocks in at an impressive 1:55 and features Captain Christopher Pike uttering THOSE FAMOUS LINES! And Star Trek fans young and old are about to have their minds blown! The voyages of the Starship Enterprise are officially underway…and they are accompanied by the finest opening credits since The Next Generation! Hold your breath, disengage the impulse engines, and hit play!
VINTAGE TREK
These opening titles are absolutely breathtaking, and the glory shots of the Enterprise alone are enough to send us all into delirium. Then, when you factor in the hauntingly familiar theme from The Orignal Series spruced up to perfection with a contemporary twist, this sequence sticks the landing in a big way. Make no mistake, this is pure unadulterated Star Trek at its finest. And if this is a taste of things to come, Strange New Worlds will easily become the most successful series of the modern era. And that is an exciting prospect!
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining them are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel; Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.
The series premieres on Paramount+ in the US on May 5, 2022.
