A New Daredevil Series Gets The Green Light At Disney Plus

Get ready Daredevil fans because the man without fear is getting a new lease of life on Disney Plus. Will Charlie Cox return?
Look out Daredevil fans because the man without fear is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After making his triumphant return in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was only a matter of time before the character began to feature in the MCU proper. Long-running rumors about a potential Disney Plus series have refused to subside. But until now, Marvel has refused to confirm or deny anything about the potential series. Thankfully, all that is about to change.
DISNEY PLUS
Variety is now reporting that a new Daredevil series has officially been given the green light at Disney Plus. Although Marvel Studios have not commented officially. But they are suggesting that Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce. The duo most recently worked as executive producers on The CW series “Containment.” But the duo rose to prominence by co-creating Covert Affairs, an action-drama series for the USA Network starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. The series spanned five seasons and ran from 2010 to 2014.
CHARLIE COX
Sadly, as of press time, there is no word on whether Charlie Cox will be making a return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. However, Marvel appears to be eager to keep Cox in the family after his epic return in the Spidey threequel. So I’d say it’s a safe bet that Cox will be back in action sooner rather than later. And with Vincent D’Onofrio’s recent involvement as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) in Hawkeye, all the pieces are falling into place for Daredevil to make his mark on the MCU.
Of course, this series has been a long time coming. Especially after the Netflix series was canceled almost five years ago. But fans have never lost hope that the man without fear would make a triumphant return, especially after the rights reverted to Marvel. And now, it seems their patience has been rewarded. The devil of Hell’s Kitchen is suiting up again!
