Ms Marvel Episode 6 No Normal Review

“This is undoubtedly the best Marvel finale. Ms. Marvel delivers an awe-inspiring and powerful episode.”

This is it. Today is the finale of Ms. Marvel. It really went by so fast. But no worries, Ms. Marvel will be back next Summer with Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau in The Marvels! So, how was this finale?

The finale picks up where we left off last week with Kamran and Bruno on the run in Jersey City. Once again, the American government is the villain in Marvel. They just cannot accept that superheroes exist and that they cannot control them. It is a compelling recurring theme. We have what the government did in Captain America Civil War. Then we have seen how the DODC treated Peter Parker in Spider-Man No Way Home. And now we see how they treat other teenage superheroes.

This is a coming-of-age series so the finale keeps that vibe while also providing a beautiful superhero story. This episode brings everyone together to protect Kamran and Kamala from the DODC. When I say everyone, it is Kamala’s friends but also literally everyone in her community. And this is so awe-inspiring. Indeed, seeing an entire community brought together to support their local superhero is the most beautiful thing to see. Ms. Marvel is really a feel-good series. It is truly empowering. Everyone has something to do in this finale.

We had to wait for the final episode to see Kamala in her costume. But it was all worth it! It is an origin story. So it needed time for her to get to that moment when she would have her first costume. It is also great to see from who she gets her costume. Indeed, it sends a beautiful message. Much like when she gets her name, this is a truly wonderful scene. She has a nice group of people who know her superhero identity and support her.

Furthermore, this episode shows a Kamala Khan that controls her powers. She has evolved so much over the course of this series. And it is amazing to see how great she has become. Plus, there is a whole sequence that is a tribute to her powers from the comics. I was so excited to see this! They are indeed there in spirit.

Although this episode concludes the story told in the series, there is still so much more to learn about Kamala Khan. This is just the beginning for her in the MCU. Moreover, this episode has two thrilling teases. The first one is about the true origin of her powers. In fact, there is more to it than what we were told. The second tease is in the mid-credits scene which leads to a surprising cameo.

VERDICT

This is undoubtedly the best MCU finale. Ms. Marvel delivers an awe-inspiring and powerful episode. Overall, this has been a fantastic series and it is up there with Moon Knight as the best MCU series and one of the best superhero origin stories! The Marvels can’t come soon enough.

Ms. Marvel is streaming on Disney Plus right now!
