Star Trek: Lower Decks will return to Paramount+ in the USA this August and celebrates with a ‘Search For Spock’ inspired poster
Are you ready for more adventures aboard the U.S.S. Cerritos? Although the third season of Star Trek: Lower Decks has been rumored to be beaming down to Paramount+ for some time, the studio has been reluctant to confirm a release date. But thankfully, all that is about to change…despite the subspace chatter!
The studio has dropped a suitably cool new poster for the upcoming third season that confirms that the new season will be hitting the US branch of Paramount+ on August 25. What’s more, the glorious poster pays homage to the iconic theatrical poster from Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. In the movie, the main antagonists for James T. Kirk’s intrepid crew of the Enterprise were the Klingons; led famously by Christopher Llyod’s Commander Kruge. So, could the new poster hint at the Cerritos crossing paths with the Klingons in season 3? Only time will tell. Until then, feast your eyes on the glorious one-sheet below.
RELEASE
Sadly, as of press time, there is still no update about an official UK release date. The initials seasons premiered on Prime Video in the UK. And we expect that to continue into season 3, despite Paramount+ having now arrived on our shores. But fear not UK Trek fans. We’ll update the post with all the latest information as soon as it crosses the Neutral Zone.
Created by Rick & Morty writer Mike McMahan, Star Trek: Lower Decks features the voices of Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Noël Wells, and Eugene Cordero as the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos.
