Universal Drops An Explosive New Poster For Christopher Nolan’s OPPENHEIMER

Universal Pictures has shared a glorious new poster for Christopher Nolan’s OPPENHEIMER. The movie releases in July 2023
Universal Pictures has dropped an explosive new poster for Christopher Nolan’s OPPENHEIMER biopic. The film is arguably one of the most ambitious ever attempted and will catalog the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer. Also known as the “Father of the atomic bomb” and the man that changed the face of human history forever. Historically, Oppenheimer was the key figure behind the birth of the atom bomb which ultimately destroyed Hiroshima in World War II. Although, the poster doesn’t reveal much about the biopic, or when in history the film will take place, Nolan is renowned for incorporating time-bending phenomena into his movies. So, I’d say it’s a safe assumption to expect something Nolan-esque here. Check out the poster below.
ALL-STAR CAST
Now, as mentioned above, Oppenheimer has amassed a wealth of talent to help bring Nolan’s movie home. Long-time Nolan collaborator Cillian Murphy will play Oppenheimer. Emily Blunt will be playing Oppenheimer’s wife, Kitty. Matt Damon stars as Leslie Groves, who oversaw the construction of the Pentagon and directed the Manhattan Project. And rounding out the main cast are Hollywood legend Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, and Benny Safdie. But if that isn’t enough to have us booking our tickets in advance, Rami Malek, Jack Quaid, Dane DeHaan, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, Kenneth Branagh, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, and Matthias Schweighöfer are all set to feature; making Oppenheimer over-stacked with incredible talent.
As for the visual effects, to help give the movie the tone and scale it deserves, Nolan has once again turned to VFX Studio DNEG. The studio has overseen eight of Nolan’s moves to date and recently took us to the upside down in Stranger Things 4. Andrew Jackson will again serve as visual effects supervisor after winning the Oscar for best achievement in visual effects on Tenet. And after his masterwork on Tenet, The Mandalorian composer Ludwig Göransson will return to compose the score.
As a Nolan fan, I cannot wait to get my first look at Oppenheimer. With its all-star cast and powerful source material, this movie is a shoo-in for awards contention. And with the poster now out in the world, hopefully, a trailer won’t be too far behind. What a great time to be a cinephile!
Oppenheimer will arrive exclusively in cinemas on July 21st, 2023.
