Suzume No Tojimari unveils a brand new trailer!

A new look for Makoto Shinkai’s latest film Suzume No Tojimari has been unveiled. The second trailer offers a better look at this magical world. As usual with this director, you can expect mind-blowing visuals and a lyrical story.

A TV spot has also been revealed.

Both feature the song ‘Suzume’ feat Toaka by Radwimps. This is the third film Makoto and Radwimps work together. Their previous collaborations include the worldwide phenomena Your Name and Weathering With You. The song will be released digitally everywhere tomorrow.

Finally a new key visual has also been unveiled featuring the main characters and this “mysterious” door.

The film will be released on November 11 in Japanese cinemas with an international release handled by Crunchyroll in 2023.

17-year-old Suzume’s journey begins in a quiet town in Kyushu when she encounters a young man who tells her, “I’m looking for a door.” What Suzume finds is a single weathered door standing upright in the midst of ruins as though it was shielded from whatever catastrophe struck. Seemingly mesmerized by its power, Suzume reaches for the knob…

Doors begin to open one after another all across Japan, unleashing destruction upon any who are near. Suzume must close these portals to prevent further disaster.
