Whilst having a mindless browse on ASOS one evening I noticed the newest must-have makeup collection for movie lovers. MAC and ASOS have collaborated to create the MAC x ASOS Exclusive Black Panther makeup collection. This collection is made up of 18 items that are only available on ASOS. I use MAC makeup items because of the quality. You only need a little product for each application and it has some serious staying power.
THE WAKANDA COLLECTION
MAC is known for its lipstick. There are four lipsticks in the Wakandan-themed collection in various shades. Each lipstick comes in a purple case, with ‘Black Panther’ written on the cap. On the inside, there is a movie-themed motif which is really cool. The Shades are Wakandan Sunset: Purple Matt finish. Royal Integrity: A warm chocolate matt finish shade. Story Of Home: A neutral shade with pink undertones, also in a matt finish. And Dora Milaje: A creamy matt bold red shade. How perfect are these shade names?!
This collection is lip-heavy because there are also four liquid lip colors, which are enriched with argan oil, coconut oil, shea butter, barley extract, and cucumber for a nourishing lip product. The Shadows: a black shade. Thicker Than Water: Deep red shade. Wakanda Forever: A glorious purple shade. And Show Off: A dark pink shade. There is also a lipgloss called Feelin’ It: which is a translucent-gold shade, perfect for topping all shades in this collection.
WAKANDA EYESHADOW
The eyeshadow palette features the same purple design but with the Wakandan necklace design incorporated. It features eight bold shades, gold and nudes, black, blues, and even bright purple and red. Each shade is glittery and you can expect them to be highly pigmented colors. To complete your bold eye look there are three eyeliners. Two are liquid and waterproof so perfect for long wear. These come in a purple shade: Wakanda Proud and a white: Wakandan Tradition. The third is an eye Kohl pencil in black called: Feline.
To complete the collection there are two brushes. An eyeshadow brush is perfect for applying the shades in the palette. And a Face brush perfect for applying highlighter, of which there are two in this collection. Both Highlighters are embossed with a Panther design, in shades Royal Vibrancy: a gold-flecked chocolate shade, and Royal Challenge a warm gold shade with rose-toned flecks. You’ll be needing a makeup bag to pop your Black Panther-themed makeup in and luckily the final item of this collection is a patterned makeup bag with a 3D Wakandan necklace.
