The latest character poster from Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 reunites us with the Dark Lord of the Sith – Emperor Palpatine
The second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch is already nearing its climax on Disney+. So far the series has been packed with riot racing, clone conspiracies, and idyllic desert island destinations. However, the story has ramped up the tension in recent weeks. Especially when shining light on the conspiracy surrounding the new galaxy being formed under the Emperor’s vice-like grip. And the Empire’s oppression knows no bounds.
Ordinarily, new episodes alone would be enough to appease our insatiable appetite. But thankfully, Lucasfilm is upping the ante with another batch of glorious character posters for us to feast upon. So far, Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, Crosshair, Omega, Cid, Commander Cody, TAY-O, Phee Genoa, Gungi, and Riyo Chuchi have been rewarded with their own individual posters. But this week, we are reunited with the Dark Lord of the Sith himself – the vile Emperor Palpatine.
The legendary dark Lord of the Sith rose to power during the events of The Phantom Menace and solidified his position as Emperor during The Clone Wars. With Darth Vader by his side, Palpatine began to solidify his vice-like grip on the galaxy after the fall of the Jedi Order. But with a fledgling resistance beginning to form his domination hit a few stumbling blocks. Especially with Senator’s like Riyo Chuchi and Bail Organa fighting to untangle his web of deceit.
However, little did they suspect that Palpatine was counting on their involvement to usher in a new age of control. One that would see the galaxy enslaved by legions of Imperial Stormtroopers. And we all know how that turned out! Check out Palpatine’s character poster below.
