This week on The Official Chart, Elvis rocks back up the chart, and The Batman returns, but nothing can stop Matilda from singing away at the top!

THE OFFICIAL CHART

This week, the chart doesn’t change that much. We do lose The Woman King, and Lyle Lyle Crocodile from the listings but gain two re-entries in their place. But who has finished where this week? And what can the two re-entries be? Put on your dancing shoes as we find out.

MATILDA CONTINUES TO SING AND DANCE AT THE TOP!

Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical bounces into a third week as the UK’s Number 1 film. Following its release on disc, the film has enjoyed an extra boost in sales this week to earn itself both the biggest digital release of the last seven days, as well as the bestseller on physical formats too.

BLACK PANTHER DIGS ITS CLAWS IN AT NUMBER TWO!

At Number 2 for a second week is Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. (Read our review here)

MAVERICK COOLS HIS JETS AGAIN AT NUMBER THREE!

Another non-mover, Top Gun: Maverick, manages to hover again at number three. (Read our review here)

ELVIS ROCKS BACK UP THE CHART!

Flying up the Top 10, Elvis is back in the building at Number 4, following its huge success at the 2023 BAFTAs last week where it won four awards; Best Actor in a Leading Role (Austin Butler), Best Casting, Best Costume Design, and Best Make Up & Hair. (Read our review here)

THE MINIONS ARE ON THE RISE AGAIN!

Rounding out the Top 5 is Minions: The Rise of Gru, which rises a place.

THE DINOSAURS TAKE A TUMBLE!

BULLET TRAIN SPEEDS UP THE CHART!

OUTSIDE THE TOP TEN!

In the wider Top 20, we see two brand new entries this week. Paul Mescal and Sophie Corio star in the critically acclaimed drama Aftersun, debuting at Number 15, and bio-drama She Said lands straight in at Number 19.
