This week on The Official Film Chart, Babylon makes an appearance, and we get a double dose of John Wick, but it is A Man Called Otto who takes the top spot!

THE OFFICIAL CHART

The chart gets a bit of a shakeup this week. We have one new entry and two re-entries into the positions. To make way, we must bid goodbye to Living, The Banshees Of Inisherin, and Scream (2022). But what is topping the last chart of March 2023? Time for us to find out.

A MAN CALLED OTTO TAKES THE TOP SPOT!

A Man Called Otto takes its place at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart. Overtaking several previous Number 1s to take its place at the top, the Tom Hanks-starring flick manages the feat on digital download sales only.

MATILDA MOVES BACK UP!

A close second this week, Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical rebounds one place to Number 2.

PUSS IN BOOTS GETS PUSHED DOWN!

Puss In Boots: The Last Wish drops a place to number 3.

ELVIS ROCKS BACK DOWN THE CHART!

Last week’s Number 1 Elvis drops three to Number 4. (Read our review here).

BLACK ADAM BATTLES BACK UP THE CHART!

Dwayne Johnson’s turn as DC’s Black Adam rises three to Number 5. (Read our review here).

BABYLON SMASHES INTO THE CHART!

This week’s highest new entry is comedy-drama Babylon at number 6. Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt lead an ensemble cast telling the stories of the rise and fall of several characters in the decadent and depraved early days of Hollywood. (Read our review here).

MAVERICK HOLDS HIS POSITION!

Top Gun: Maverick holds its place at Number 7.

JENNIFER CONNELLY PLAYS PENNY BENJAMIN AND TOM CRUISE PLAYS CAPT. PETE “MAVERICK” MITCHELL IN TOP GUN: MAVERICK FROM PARAMOUNT PICTURES, SKYDANCE, AND JERRY BRUCKHEIMER FILMS.

JOHN WICK TAKES POSITIONS 8 AND 9!

Keanu Reeves enjoys two consecutive spots in the Top 10 with John Wick: Chapter 2 at number 8.

WHITNEY DANCES DOWN SIX PLACES!

Finally, Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance With Somebody drops six places to number 10 to round off this week’s Top 10.

And that is that for another week. Next Tuesday sees the digital retail release of Avatar: The Way Of Water. That film will dominate the after-Easter sales chart. So until next week…
