The Praetorian Guards return and Grogu meets IG-12 on the latest character posters from The Mandalorian Season 3 – streaming now!
We are just days away from the season three finale of The Mandalorian and the hype train has officially left the space station. Today, Lucasfilm has shared another duo of character posters from the new season. And as expected, they showcase the adorable Grogu and his repurposed IG-12 armored suit. But adding some much-needed menace to proceedings is the infamous trio of Imperial Praetorian Guards responsible for the downfall of Paz Vizsla.
Grogu was overjoyed at the prospect of riding in the shell of his former friend IG-11. And when Greef Karga offered him the opportunity, Grogu took to piloting the droid like a Porg to water. But things took a turn for the worse when Moff Gideon captured Din Djarin and lured Bo-Katan’s forces into a trap. And as the climax of the episode unfolded, Paz Vizsla bought time for his brethren to escape by facing off against three of Gideon’s Praetorian Guards – a decision that would ultimately cost him his life. A heroic end for a true warrior. But don’t take my word for it. Check out the glorious key art posters below.

Of course, IG-12 and the Praetorian Guards are just a few of the characters that will carry this new season through to its conclusion. But it is refreshing to see the villains of The Last Jedi being utilized in such a compelling way. And in truth, their return in The Mandlorian has only intensified their mark on the overall saga and added weight to their appearance in Rian Johnson’s divisive sequel.
But who will be joining Grogu, IG-12, and the Praetorian Guards on a glossy poster next week? Will Boba Fett make another sensational return? Could Ahsoka Tano be about to make another appearance? Or will Jon Favreau blow us away and give us our first look at Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine Wren? All will be revealed when the new season of The Mandalorian concludes on April 19th.
