Denzel Washington returns once again as Robert McCall in Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer 3.
After the success of the first two films in The Equalizer franchise, it was only a matter of time before we got a third film. This September, we will get the chance to witness the final chapter when Denzel Washington returns in The Equalizer 3. The Oscar-winning actor once again plays the role of retired U.S. Marine and former DIA officer Robert McCall. The threequel is once again directed by Antoine Fuqua, making this the fifth time the pair have worked together.
Dakota Fanning co-stars alongside Washington, reuniting with him after the pair appeared together in Man On Fire back in 2004. Sonia Ben Ammar and Remo Girone also appear in what looks to be an all-action finale for the character. The film series is based on the 1980s TV series of the same name that starred Edward Woodward as McCall. At CinemaCon which is currently on in the USA, the first trailer for the film has been revealed.
THE STORY
In The Equalizer 3, McCall is retired in Italy and has made a surrogate family in a small village. When they’re attacked by the Mafia, McCall goes wild and starts taking out mobsters left and right.
Robert McCall will return for one last time when The Equalizer 3 opens in theaters on September 1st.
