The First Character Posters from Transformers Rise of the Beasts Roll Out

Optimus Prime, Mirage, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, and Arcee feature on Autobot character posters from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts – coming to cinemas in June.

The Matrix of Leadership has had a new burst of much-needed Energon because the Autobot character posters from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts have arrived. And they are teasing one-helluva summer extravaganza. The upcoming sequel is undoubtedly one of the top contenders for the movie of the summer. And although the film isn’t hitting our screens until June 8th, Paramount Pictures and Hasbro are eager to have us primed (see what I did there!) and ready for action!

Leading the charge is the ever-present Optimus Prime – once again voiced by the irreplaceable Peter Cullen with Bumblebee, Arcee, and Wheeljack as backup! And rounding out the set is live-action action debutant Mirage. The Autobot was a mainstay of the original Gen 1 cartoon series and is adored by the fans. So it’s refreshing to see a Transformers original making his live-action debut. But don’t take my word for it. Transform, roll out, and check them out below.

SYNOPSIS

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons

RELEASE

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts looks set to be one of the biggest events of the summer. And we are one hundred percent here for it. The live-action debut of the Maximals, Predacons, and the Terrorcons has been a very long time coming. After all, the latter all featured in the original Gen 1 animated series and were an intricate part of Galvatron’s Decepticon army. So seeing the characters realized in live-action is an enticing prospect. And with Bumblebee and Optimus Prime thrown into the mix, we could be set for one of the most ambitious Transformers movies to date.

But can Steven Caple Jr. do the unthinkable and break free of the stigma attached to the property following Michael Bay’s divisive adventures? That remains to be seen. Bay’s movies, though entertaining were nothing short of a character assassination of the original Gen 1 series. With many of the most adored characters tweaked, altered, and treated with little respect. Thankfully, Bumblebee turned the tide and delivered the closest thing to the original series to date. And the result was a breath of fresh air. So let’s hope Joby Harold’s bold story for this sequel delivers in a big way. However, these new character posters have already revealed a major change in appearance for Wheeljack, so let’s not get our hopes up just yet!

All will be revealed when those robots in disguise transform and roll out in U.K. cinemas from June 8th, 2023.
