Roll Out! The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Global Statue Tour Heads to the UK

Tobe Nwigwe, Nas, & Jacob Banks team up for the original song “On My Soul” featured in Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts.

The countdown clock for the release of  Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts is ticking along nicely. So far, we’ve had trailers, clips, behind-the-scenes footage, posters, and character posters. Add a featured original song to that list. It has been announced that the GRAMMY nominee Tobe Nwigwe, GRAMMY award-winner Nas, and vocalist Jacob Banks are releasing a song “On My Soul” that is featured in the film.

The film itself follows on from the tremendous success of Bumblebee. Michael Bay is one of the producers of the new film, with Steven Caple Jr on directorial duties. Jongnic Bontemps supplies the score, taking over from Dario Marianelli who supplied the score for Bumblebee, and Steve Jablonsky who composed the scores for Bay’s five Transformers movies.

Best New Artist GRAMMY nominee Tobe Nwigwe, and GRAMMY Award-winning rap legend Nas today announced the release of their new single “On My Soul,” an original song to be featured in the upcoming Paramount Pictures and Skydance film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The song featuring the revered vocals of Jacob Banks via Mass Appeal and The Good Stewards, appearing in the latest installment of the Transformers film franchise, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth. Directed by Steven Caple Jr., the film stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. Nwigwe also appears in the film as the character “Reek” alongside an incredible voice cast including Peter Cullen (“Optimus Prime”), Ron Perlman (“Optimus Primal”), Peter Dinklage (“Scourge”), Michelle Yeoh (“Airazor”), Liza Koshy (“Arcee”), and Pete Davidson (“Mirage”), to name a few. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts hits cinemas on June 8.

“We wanted a track that could introduce a new sound to the franchise that embraces the 90s and maintains the timelessness of the era,” says the film’s director, Steven Caple Jr. “By combining the lyrical genius of one of the most influential artists of our time, Nas, with Tobe Nwigwe’s energetic style and cadence, we excitedly release Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ hit song, ‘On My Soul.’”

When asked about the song, Nwigwe responded emphatically, “My first song with Nas is in Transformers! This is a monuMINTal moMINT in time!”
