SYNOPSIS

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

CAST & CREATIVES

The voice cast for this latest adventure includes Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu, and Brady Noon as the Turtles. Jackie Chan joins the cast as Master Splinter with Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, and Seth Rogen and John Cena as Bebop and Rocksteady. Rose Byrne adds her vocals to Leatherhead, while Giancarlo Esposito stars as Baxter Stockman. Ice Cube buzzes around as Superfly, while Hannibal Buress stars as Genghis Frog. And rounding out the cast are Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.

RELEASE

This cast list is phenomenal. The casting of Jackie Chan is a masterstroke. And with the star power of Paul Rudd thrown into the mix, the movie is packed to the brim with world-class talent. And of course, John Cena is returning to the franchise after voicing a character in the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. When coupled with the unforgettable voice of Rogen himself, both Bebop and Rocksteady promise to be a double act to remember.

It’s worth mentioning that The Shredder isn’t included in the cast list, which is quite surprising. The iconic villain has been the main antagonist for the lean green fighting machines for well over three decades. So either Rogen has changed the formula and opted to bring in a new villain, or Shredder will be the last big name to join the cast. Either way, Mutagen Mayhem has all the tools to craft something extraordinary. But can Rogen stick the landing?  We’ll be one of the first in line to see it.
