The Season 2 premiere of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is just over three weeks away. But that isn’t stopping Paramount+ from pouring more dilithium into the hype train. Today, the streamer has shared a glorious final trailer for the upcoming season and it is packed to the brim with jaw-dropping Star Trek iconography! And the Enterprise navigating through a debris field! Returning to the streamer on June 15th, the new episodes will feature the return of James T. Kirk, the series debut of the Klingons, and even, Mr. Spock getting fresh with Nurse Chapel! RED ALERT!
In the latest trailer, we witness Lieutenant Ortegas (played by Melissa Navia) showcasing her exceptional piloting abilities, while Lieutenant Noonien-Singh (portrayed by Christina Chong) and Lieutenant James T. Kirk (played by Paul Wesley) embark on an action-packed away mission. Then Captain Pike (Anson Mount) faces off against the legendary Klingons, and Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) and Dr. M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) get sucked out of an airlock. The footage is rounded off with Ensign Uhura (played by Celia Rose Gooding) enjoying herself with the new Chief Engineer Pelia (portrayed by Carol Kane), and Mr. Spock (played by Ethan Peck) developing a closer relationship with Nurse Chapel.
But don’t take my word for it. Opening hailing frequencies and explore the footage for yourself.
And if that isn’t enough to have you booking your vacation to the Neutral Zone, the trailer reveals our first look at the first-ever crossover episode. Fans have eagerly anticipated the meeting between Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks, with many speculating and theorizing about it. But finally, we have been granted a glimpse of the encounter, and it looks spectacular! Especially with the exchange between Boimler and Spock! And of course, Jack Quaid even has Boimlers unmistakable purple hair!
In series two of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, under the command of Captain Christopher Pike, confronts increasingly dangerous stakes, explores uncharted territories, and encounters new life and civilisations. The crew will also embark on personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies.
No new trailer drop would be complete without an all-new poster. And Star Trek has some of the best in the business. And in true franchise fashion, Paramount+ has shared some new key art for the series. The glossy one-sheet showcases our beloved cast, the adventures we can expect to enjoy, and the Enterprise in all her glory. Check it out below.
The upcoming season seems to be a highlight of Paramount+’s summer lineup. As well as being one of the best entries in the franchise to date. The addition of James T. Kirk to the show is a wildcard, especially given his legacy in the franchise. But with the Klingons being thrown into the mix and the addition of the Lower Decks crew, the new season is shaping up to be unmissable. And we are 100% here for it. So, dust off your Federation uniform, polish your rank insignia, and avoid putting on a red shirt.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds returns on June 15 on Paramount+ in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
