There’s a lot of family fun ready and waiting for you this month on Rakuten TV. With Father’s Day upcoming, you could decide to sit down and treat Dad to a blockbuster action movie. Or you could easily pick one of the great documentaries that are currently or will soon be available.
Rakuten TV, one of Europe’s major video-on-demand streaming services, has announced a host of new and exciting content set to land on the platform in June 2023. From action-packed blockbusters to nail-biting thrillers, Rakuten TV has the perfect selection of titles to watch over Father’s Day weekend, as well as entertain the kids over the June half-term.
SUPER MARIO BROS. ON DEMAND!
Straight from its successful run on the big screen, box office sensation The Super Mario Bros Movie, featuring the voices of Chris Pratt, Jack Black, and Anya Taylor-Joy, will be available as an early home release, to buy or rent from the STORE section.

HALF-TERM ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE CHILDREN!
With the June half-term just around the corner, additional children’s titles Ghosthunters: On Icy Trails and A Mermaid’s Tale have been added for the whole family to enjoy, with children’s animated series Dennis & Gnasher arriving as a new channel on Rakuten TV.

JOHN WICK CHAPTER 4 & FREE MOVIES
For those looking to treat their father this month, John Wick: Chapter 4, is one of the many suspenseful action movies added to the platform and will be available to buy and keep. Other spine-tingling crime thrillers added to the FREE section include The Night Of The 12th, Missing, and Master Gardener, with Mia Goth fans able to get a double dose of her on the small screen with Pearl and Infinity Pool, all dropping next month. Nicholas Cage also continues to dominate, with the martial arts film Jiu Jitsu, crime drama The Trust, and action thriller Tokarev available to binge live on Father’s Day.

THE FAST CHANNEL
Much like the weather, June will also see FAST channel content heating up with Gordan Ramsay’s reality cooking competition Hell’s Kitchen. True Crime fans will also be delighted by the arrival of True Crime on the CBS Reality FAST channel.
BIOGRAPHICAL
For the biographical enthusiasts, Rakuten TV is releasing a plethora of musical documentaries, such as Whitney, the intimate story behind global superstar Whitney Houston, and Sheryl, based on singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow’s rise to superstardom, both exclusively FREE to the platform. Further additions to the documentary slate include two seasons of the UK gangster series British Gangsters: Faces of the Underworld and Oscar-nominated All That Breathes.
PRIDE MONTH
To celebrate Pride month, Rakuten TV will have a section dedicated to inspiring LGBTQ+ stories, from award-winning documentaries by The Guardian to recent gay romantic comedy Bros, available to watch for free and rent or buy. Viewers will also be able to choose from a host of titles on their live channel, REVRY, exclusively showing LGBTQ+ content.
