
Get your first look at Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars: Ahsoka – streaming with a two-episode launch premiere on August 23
We are just five weeks away from the launch of Star Wars: Ahsoka on Disney Plus and the streamer has dropped an all-new trailer for us to sink our teeth into. The new two-minute trailer is packed full of jaw-dropping imagery. And leading the charge is our first look at Lars Mikkelsen’s Grand Admiral Thrawn. What’s more, the streamer has confirmed that the series will launch with a two-episode premiere! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Hit play on the trailer below and experience it for yourself.
NEW POSTER
And if the new trailer isn’t enough to have you igniting your lightsaber with glee, Lucasfilm also dropped a brand new poster for the series. As expected, it features Rosario Dawson’s former Jedi apprentice in all her glory. Check it out below.
THE SERIES
Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
in addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, “Ahsoka” stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.

RELEASE
As seen in the trailer, Sabine Wren ignites Ezra Bridger’s lightsaber and prepares to engage in an epic duel with Shin Hati. A sequence that will delight fans everywhere. Moreover, the looming threat of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s imminent return serves as the trailer’s main focus meaning that the hype has certainly hit the fast lane! And we are 100% here for it!
