We are still a few weeks away from reuniting with Rosario Dawson in Star Wars: Ahsoka. And Lucasfilm is already pouring fuel into the hyperdrive engine. The studio has shared a new look at the series highlighting the new threats Ahsoka will face. All the while showcasing the heroes that will rise to meet the challenge. Namely, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Ahsoka herself. So, unleash the Force and hit play on the player below.
Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
in addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, “Ahsoka” stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
As seen in the trailer, Sabine Wren ignites Ezra Bridger’s lightsaber and prepares to engage in an epic duel with Shin Hati. A sequence that will delight fans everywhere. The series is unleashing the duo lightsabers on Disney Plus on August 23rd. The show will continue the plot threads left open in the finale of Star Wars: Rebels. Most notably the search for Ezra Bridger.
