The first clip from STAR WARS: AHSOKA has arrived featuring a lightsaber duel between Ahsoka and an Inquisitor
We are just days away from the two-episode launch of STAR WARS: AHSOKA and the anticipation is reaching fever pitch. The past few days have seen fan screenings, press screeners, and sneak peeks doing the rounds. And it’s safe to say that the fanbase is ready to catch up with Ahsoka Tano and her Rebels companions. But with the countdown nearing its end, Lucasfilm has upped the ante by dropping the first official clip from the series.
The forty-eight-second clip reveals Hera and Chopper engaging in some fancy flying, and Ahsoka dueling with an Inquisitor. Moreover, there’s an assassin droid in the mix too, but Ahsoka makes short work of that opponent. And rounding out the clip is a sample of Kevin Kiner’s irreplaceable soundtrack! But don’t take my word for it. Scroll down and check it out now!
Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
in addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, “Ahsoka” stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
The series will now premiere on Disney Plus a few hours earlier on August 22nd at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET (Wednesday, 2 am in the UK). The show will continue the plot threads left open in the finale of Star Wars: Rebels. Most notably the search for Ezra Bridger. Recently the studio shared the first character posters from the show. And as expected they are packed full of heroes and villains. Check them out here.
