VMA’s 2023 will see the pair appear and perform live in New Jersey on September 12th. Both join a star-packed lineup for this year’s awards.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion will reunite for a debut performance of their just-released single “Bongos” during the 2023 “VMAs.” LIVE from New Jersey’s Prudential Center on Tuesday, September 12th at 8 PM ET/PT. The 2023 “VMAs” will air on 13th September on MTV UK and Pluto TV. The pre-show starts at 9 pm. Followed by the main show at 10:30 pm and on Paramount+ on 19th September.

In 2021, the pair received a notable 5x “VMAs” nomination for their unforgettable hit single “WAP”. Including “Song of the Summer,” “Video of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Best Collaboration” and “Best Hip Hop.” “WAP” made history as the first female rap collaboration to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Then spending four weeks at the top spot as well as being certified platinum 8x in the U.S.



Considered one of the most influential female rappers of all time (Forbes), the 29x “VMAs” nominee also competes this year with GloRilla for “Best Hip Hop,” the same category she last won in 2019. The same year she presented Missy Elliott with the prestigious Vanguard award.

Megan’s philanthropic work was heralded by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, who presented her with the key to the city of Houston and a proclamation that officially designated May 2, 2022 as Megan Thee Stallion Day in her hometown. In 2021, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee awarded Megan the 18th Congressional District Hero Award in Houston for her humanitarian initiatives.
