J’adore! Darcie checks out the all-new Revolution x Emily in Paris collection and discovers an immediately Instagramable line of cosmetic très chic gems
EMILY IN PARIS is all about drama, fashion, and style. So it’s not surprising that Revolution’s newest collaboration is with the show, the only surprising thing is that it took this long for the Revolution X Emily in Paris collection to happen! I am a massive fan of the Revolution collections, no one quite does a film/TV cross-over the same way. Let’s explore the new collection together just as we explore Paris life with Emily in the show. The collaboration is comprised of a staggering eighteen items! This is an online exclusive and as we’ve come to expect the whole range is vegan.
Let’s do a quick breakdown of the items. There are lip and blush duos, blotting papers, bath petals, brushes, highlighters, gift sets, eyeshadow palettes, and even an advent calendar. This collection certainly has it all.
Say Bonjour to the Revolution X Emily in Paris collection! Chanel your favourite American in Paris with this très chic edit of cosmetics, accessories and gifts that will take you from your desk at Agence Grateau to poppin’ parties with Pierre Cadault.
LIP-TASTIC!
There are seven lip products. Three lip and cheek blush duos, in shades of mimosa orange. For Mindy, pinky swear pink. For Camille, and Paris fantasy rouge for Emily. I love these multifunction products. They are perfect for on-the-go and they feature a cute houndstooth design on the applicator lid which reminds me of Emily’s iconic fashion sense. There are three lipsticks in similar shades. Mindy Tupe Nude, Camille Pink Nude, and Emily Red, which look remarkably similar to her actual show lip color! The final lip product is iconic, an Emily in Paris Champere Problems lip Balm which comes in a Champère tin. They really nailed the theming of this collection.
SHADOW FACTOR!
No Revolution collaboration would be complete without an eyeshadow palette. And this one is giving us two! The first is Camera Queen, the packaging of which resembles Emily’s Camera phone case (a case I even have). It features nine soft glam shades, with warm tones of pink, brown, and gold. The second is called the City of Love. It’s shaped by the Eiffel Tower and features fifteen bold pinks, blues, and more shades. These shades are a perfect reflection of the bold colors we always see Emily showcasing. And as it’s Revolution you can guarantee that these shades will have great pigmentation. there is one more palette, the ombre highlighter which will give you the perfect shimmer for all your Paris parties.
Other items include oil control ‘selfie ready’ blotting papers, rose petal bath soaps (so very early 2000s), a five-piece Tres Chic brush set, a houndstooth makeup bag, and a purple beauty blender that features a cute red heart pattern. This blender even comes with a cute pom-pom Eiffel Tower charm. We even have an Eau de Toilette that is shaped like the Eiffel Tower. Completing the collection we have a 12-day advent calendar that features lashes, mascara, lipsticks, and more. A final gift set features lip balm, a compact mirror, the Emily Red lipstick, and a satin-style scarf which is stunning!
VERDICT
The Revolution X Emily in Paris collection is not only Instagramable it is full of references whilst capturing Emily’s unique style. The collection is one of the best I’ve seen and I cannot wait to get my hands on it all! The collection is an online exclusive and prices range from £3.99 to £40.00 for the advent calendar.
