Joaquin Phoenix takes the role of the famous Emperor of the French, Napoleon Bonaparte, with support from Vanessa Kirby as his wife, the Empress Joséphine. The movie also stars Tahar Rahim, Ben Miles, Ludivine Sagnier, Rupert Everett, Catherine Walker, Ian McNeice, and Édouard Philipponnat.
