The ugly little spud is back. Sony Pictures has confirmed Slimer’s return in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
With the countdown to the release of GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE officially underway, Sony Pictures has announced the return of a legend. Just weeks after the jaw-dropping first trailer left us gasping for air, the studio has confirmed that Slimer is making his long-overdue return.
Slimer made a spooktacular debut in the original 1984 franchise originator before cementing himself as a major player in The Real Ghostbusters animated series. And with the story of the new sequel rumored to be inspired by the beloved series, Slimer is getting in on the action. The ugly little green spud affectionately slimed Venkman in the original movie. A plot point that carried over to the beloved series. So fans will be hoping to see both incarnations of the IP come together to deliver the ultimate Ghostbusters experience.
THE REVEAL
What’s more, he won’t be roaming around the Firehouse alone. The adorable Mini-Pufts are making a return to spread some mischief. As well as a few new ghostly apparitions. But they are just a proton pack away from being incarcerated in the custom-made ghost storage facility. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Slide down the firepoles and check out the reveal below.
