A Horde of Frosty Spirits Are Unleashed in the First Trailer for Ghostbusters Frozen Empire

New York is facing a frozen winter of ghostly apparitions in the first teaser trailer for the Ghostbusters Afterlife sequel
At long last, Sony Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited sequel to GHOSTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE. Today’s reveal is the culmination of the hints, teases, and breadcrumbs dropped by the studio over the last week. The smart money was on a big reveal this week, especially after several potential titles came to light. Among them were the two front runners Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Ghostbusters: The New Ice Age.
But now, we can officially confirm that the sequel is titled GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE. And it promises to be one helluva rollercoaster ride of ectoplasmic action! But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s look at the trailer before the containment unit is breached again!
WHO YA GONNA CALL?
Yes, New York City is facing a winter of supernatural discontent and only the legendary Ghostbusters, or their young recruits can save the day. But can Phoebe Spengler and her new breed of proton pack-wielding exterminators come together as a functional unit in time to save the city? Or will this winter of supernatural discontent plunge the world into eternal darkness? We’ll all find out when the movie hits our screens on March 29, 2024.
THE SUPERSTARS OF THE SUPERNATURAL ARE BACK!
The long-awaited sequel will be the fourth outing for the original superstars of the supernatural. The movie will see the return of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, Logan Kim, and Celeste O’Connor who all reprise their respective roles. Joining the cast for this outing are Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind. And finally, returning to the role of Walter Peck for the first time since the original Ghostbusters is screen legend William Atherton.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire arrives in cinemas on March 29, 2024. The film was initially slated to release this December. But sadly, the project was pushed from its release due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes.
