Welcome to The Official Film Chart.

THE UK TOP TEN

This week, the chart sees one new entry and two re-entries. These new and returning titles mean there is no place for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One, and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore. We also have a brand new number-one title. What could it be? Let’s Band Together as we find out.

Its predecessor Trolls World Tour was the first film to reach six consecutive weeks at Number 1 back in the Summer of 2020 and spent a total of seven non-consecutive weeks at the top. WILL NEXT WEEK’S CHART BE MARVELOUS?

That is this week’s top ten movies on home entertainment. Next week, we could see a new number-one title once again. This Monday saw the release on digital download of the MCU sequel The Marvels. (Read our review here.) The return of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel wasn’t a box-office success when it opened in November. But it should become a best-seller on home entertainment.

Will it be next week’s number one? Time will tell, but I expect it to enter the chart in the top five places. So until next week…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!!
