Universal Pictures has released the hilariously alluring music video featuring the cast of Argylle. Can you feel the Electric Energy?
Last weekend, lucky attendees of the ARGYLLE Experience in London were treated to a music video featuring the entire cast of Matthew Vaughn’s new spy adventure. The fun new three-minute music video features Boy George, Ariana DeBose, and Nile Rodgers as they jam to the groove of “ELECTRIC ENERGY.” Joining them to bust some moves are Bryan Cranston, Bryce Dallas Howard, Catherine O’Hara, Henry Cavill, John Cena, Sam Rockwell, and Samuel L. Jackson. Hell, even the cat gets in on the action! No, I’m not joking!
The song, which is a shoo-in to hit the high notes will be released as a single when the film hits cinemas screens next week. As well as featuring on the film’s soundtrack. But eager to have us ready to dance in the aisles, Universal Pictures has released the music video to get us in the mood. So get ready to feel the Electric Energy, dance your way down to the video below, and hit play.
DANCING SUPER SPIES?
I don’t know about you, but I’m mesmerized by this video. Not only is the song a banger but watching the cast get down is pure unadulterated joy. And if this is a taste of what the film will bring to the table, then we could be in for one helluva rollercoaster ride next week. Of course, Matthew Vaughn has an uncanny knack for attracting some of the best talent in the world to his projects. After all, who could forget Elton John’s hilarious role in Kingsman: The Golden Circle? And with Dua Lipa on hand to bring the musical energy, Vaughn’s incredible streak continues in Argylle. But will the film bring enough “ELECTRIC ENERGY” to light up the box office? Only time will tell.
SYNOPSIS
From the twisted mind of Matthew Vaughn comes Argylle, a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller.
Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.
Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
THE CAST AND CREW
The top-flight ensemble cast features Henry Cavill and John Cena. Ariana DeBose, pop superstar Dua Lipa Bryan Cranston, and comedy icon Catherine O’Hara. Sofia Boutella, and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson. Alfie is played by Chip, the real-life cat of supermodel Claudia Vaughn (née Schiffer).
Matthew Vaughn directs and produces Argylle, with a screenplay by Jason Fuchs. Vaughn and Adam Bohling produce the film. Jason Fuchs, and David Reid. The executive producers are Adam Fishbach, ZygiKamasa, Carlos Peres, and Claudia Vaughn.
