This May, hide the lasagne! Sony Pictures will be bringing us The Garfield Movie. The animated film features the vocal tones of Chris Pratt as the lasagne-loving feline. Mark Dindal directs this new version of Jim Davis’ comic strip from a screenplay written by Paul A. Kaplan, Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds. Joining Pratt on vocal duties is Samuel L. Jackson as Vic, Garfield’s estranged father. Nicholas Hoult as Jon Arbuckle, Garfield’s owner, Harvey GuillĂ©n provides vocal effects for Odie, and Snoop Dogg as Snoop Catt.
Also joining in the fun are Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Cecily Strong, Bowen Yang, and Brett Goldstein. John Debney, the superb American musician has composed the score. Columbia Pictures, Alcon Entertainment, Prime Focus, DNEG Animation, One Cool Group Limited, and Wayfarer Studios are the production companies behind the film. While Sony Pictures Releasing will be distributing the film. The new trailer for the film has been let out online.
PREMISE
Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie (voiced by Harvey Guillén) are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

We will be joining the orange feline in hating Mondays when The Garfield Movie opens on May 24th.
