Universal Pictures has dropped an explosive new poster for THE FALL GUY starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt
Although we are still a few months away from the release of THE FALL GUY, Universal Pictures is firing up the hype train. The film shoots into cinemas on May 2nd. But with some hefty blockbusters releasing between now and then, the studio is eager to ensure they have our full attention. Judging by the explosive new poster, sparks will fly when we pile into auditoriums to experience the hijinks firsthand. But before the dust settles on the latest stunt, check out the poster below.
The film is a fresh adaptation of the classic 1981 TV series starring the Six Million Dollar Man himself, Lee Majors. Directed by David Leitch, this new version stars Ryan Gosling as Colt, Emily Blunt as Jody, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tom Ryder. Instead of the lighthearted tone of the TV show, the film is an action thriller. Also starring Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, Teresa Palmer, and Hannah Waddingham, the film will feature an appearance from Lee Majors himself. And judging by the recent trailer, it’s going to be a blast.
SYNOPSIS
He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?

It’s safe to assume that Universal Pictures is onto a winner here. The film looks like an absolute blast, literally. If David Leitch can capture the essence of the original TV series and blend it with the acting talents of Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, we may be on the brink of something truly remarkable. And who would bet against them? Gosling is coming in hot after his stellar role as Ken in the BARBIE movie, and Emily Blunt seems to effortlessly go from strength to strength.
When the Ghost Traps are stored away and the MonsterVerse has stopped fighting, The Fall Guy will bring the entertainment. Get excited because there’s something amazing to look forward to.
