New Posters, Trailers and Music Commemorates Godzilla x Kong Ticket Sales

We are just weeks away from the release of GODZILLA x KONG, and the Titans are preparing for war. The film pits the world’s greatest titans against the Skar King, an all-new colossal kaiju, and rampages into cinemas on March 29th. In this new adventure, Godzilla and Kong must work together to have a chance at victory, but they seem underprepared for the fight ahead. However, with the world’s brightest minds manufacturing new gadgets for the monsters to use, the playing field is about to be leveled.
MONSTERS REIGN
Today, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have released a series of promotional materials to celebrate the launch of tickets for their new movie. Firstly, the studio has shared the first track from Tom Holkenborg’s new soundtrack. Secondly, Dolby and Screen X have unveiled a new poster. Lastly, Warner Bros has released a final trailer covering the entire Monsterverse timeline.
The new trailer takes us back to the very beginning and explores Gareth Edwards’ franchise opener. Then, we head to Skull Island for a rendezvous with KONG before the rise of King Ghidorah in King of the Monsters. Finally, the two titans clash in Adam Wingard’s GODZILLA vs. KONG. For this outing, Adam Wingard is returning to the director’s chair. As are many familiar faces from his last adventure. Returning cast members include Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottle as Jia. Newcomers to the MonsterVerse include Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House. Adam Wingard saturated the last adventure in magnificent neon colors, and it looks like this outing will do the same. And, of course, it’s great to see some familiar faces from Godzilla vs Kong.
But let’s face it, the Titans are the real stars of this show. And the Skar King – a colossal kaiju ape is on hand to challenge our two titans for supremacy this time around! The Skar King is described as “a devilish, Kong-type character” by Adam Wingard. In a recent interview with IGN, the director spoke about creating a creature that could rival Godzilla and Kong. He said, “There’s a lot more to this character and how he’s a threat, and that’s going to be something that’s going to be fun to kind of dole out.”
It is currently unclear how Adam Wingard’s latest blockbuster will impact the MonsterVerse. However, with Kong vying for supremacy and Godzilla seeking to solidify his reign, the Skar King is in for the ultimate battle. In this universe, Kong is the undisputed king!
