The First Trailer For Wonka Invites us to a World of Pure Imagination

This week on The Official Chart, we see a Migration, and Napoleon goes into battle, but Wonka is sweet as it hits the top spot again!

Welcome to The Official Film Chart.

THE TOP TEN

This week sees two new entries and two re-entries into the placings. These new and returning titles spell the end of the road for Thanksgiving, Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom, Wish, and The Color Purple. But what are these new and returning titles, and where in the chart have they landed? Come with me as we once again go on a journey of Pure Imagination.

WONKA IS SWEET AGAIN AT THE TOP!

Wonka floats back up to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, earning a fourth non-consecutive week at the top. Following its release on disc, family favourite Wonka jumps three places and sells more than 51,000 sales over the last seven days to regain its status as the UK’s Number 1 film. MIGRATION FLIES INTO THE SECOND SPOT!

Our highest new entry of the week, Migration, lands straight in at Number 2. Starring Kumail Nanjini and Elizabeth Banks alongside a star-studded supporting cast, this animated adventure sees a family of ducks persuade their homebody father to leave their comfy spot on a New England pond and fly south to Jamaica for winter.

This holiday season, Illumination invites you to take flight into the thrill of the unknown with a funny, feathered family vacation like no other in the action-packed new original comedy, Migration.

DUNE DRIFTS UP THE CHART!

Dune lifts two places to Number 3 this week. (Read our review here.)

ANYONE BUT YOU IS ANYTHING BUT NUMBER ONE!

Last week’s chart-topper Anyone But You drops to Number 4.

Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney star in ANYONE BUT YOU.

POOR THINGS DROP TO NUMBER FIVE!

Now four-time Oscar-winner Poor Things – including one for Emma Stone’s Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role – drops two places to Number 5, but could it see an uplift in the post-Oscars chart next week?

CAN AQUAMAN SWIM BACK INTO THE CHART NEXT WEEK?

And that draws this week’s top ten chart to a close. However, although we lost it from the top ten this week, Monday sees the retail release of Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom. The film comes off of PVOD and will be available at a much cheaper price.
