On April 19th, get ready for Abigail to take a bite out of the box office. The monster horror film is sharpening its teeth, ready to scare the life out of the audience. The movie is a reimagining of the 1936 Universal Classic Monsters film Dracula’s Daughter. Featuring a cast that includes Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito, the young Irish actress Alisha Weir plays the title character. As you can imagine, Abigail isn’t your usual young girl, as the first trailer proved. The recently released second trailer further reinforces this statement. Grab the garlic as we take a look.
PREMISE
The film focuses on a group of kidnappers who capture and must watch over Abigail. The daughter of a powerful underworld figure from whom they demand a $50 million ransom. However, they quickly discover that they are trapped inside with a little girl who is far from ordinary.
