Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman finally team up together as Deadpool & Wolverine sees the Merc With A Mouth join the MCU!
Mark the date. July 26th. After all the years of hoping (and badgering from Ryan Reynolds), we will get to see the Merc With A Mouth team up with Logan. That is the date when we will get Deadpool & Wolverine. The film has been described by the director, Shawn Levy, as NOT being Deadpool 3. It is said to be a ‘Side-quel’ that just happens to feature the two characters. Reynolds reprises his role as Wade Wilson / Deadpool in his first foray into the official MCU. Hugh Jackman straps on Wolverine’s claws for the first time since 2017’s Logan, what was supposed to be his final bow as the character.

The cast for the film also includes Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, reprising their roles from the franchise. Joining the mayhem is Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, and Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox. Also featured in the movie is Aaron Stanford, returning as John Allerdyce / Pyro from the X-Men movies, and Jennifer Garner as Elektra Natchios for the first time since her 2005 spinoff movie. Chris Hemsworth also appears as Thor, although this is repurposed footage from Avengers: Infinity War.

THE NEW TRAILER
After the reveal of a trailer tease and a new poster yesterday, today sees the release of the new trailer for the film. And get ready to go nuts! The trailer shows us more than we’ve come to expect thus far. And it gets us ready to pop those claws when the film opens in cinemas. Let’s take a look. Be warned, as can be expected, the trailer contains violence and strong language throughout. LFG!
PREMISE
The Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline, pulls Wade Wilson / Deadpool from his quiet life and sets him on a mission that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) alongside Wolverine.

THOUGHTS
Consider me stoked! If I wasn’t desperate to sit in a darkened cinema screen and see what Ryan Reynolds would bring with his third Deadpool effort already, my excitement level just went skyward. We all thought it was over when Hugh Jackman hung up his claws seven years ago. We hoped he may possibly make one final appearance as Wolverine. Well, we’ve got it and then some! Forget the soon-to-be rebooted X-Men movies coming to the MCU, THIS is my Wolverine. Forget who may replace Jackman as the character going forward, he is MY Wolverine. Seeing him play off of Reynolds as Deadpool and the fights, both verbal and physically between the two are enough to warrant the price of admission alone. Bring it on!
THE NEW POSTERS
