Kids can be such monsters, can’t they? They certainly are if they come in the form of Abigail. The brilliant horror movie is now available to rent or buy on PVOD in the United States. Featuring a brilliant performance by the young actress Alisha Weir, the movie is one of the most enjoyable of the year so far. (Read our review here.) With a cast that also includes Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, Kevin Durand, Angus Cloud, and Giancarlo Esposito, the film has been a limited success at the box office. To date, the film has made $35 million against a budget of $28 million. That is a shame as the film deserves to be a huge success, and I personally would love to see Abigail return in a sequel. PREMISE

The film focuses on a group of kidnappers who capture and must watch over Abigail. The daughter of a powerful underworld figure from whom they demand a $50 million ransom. However, they soon get more than what they bargain for when they realise that they are trapped inside with no ordinary little girl. But a vampire child who hunts them down one by one.
