The new trailer for BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE thrusts the Deetz family into chaos. The Ghost with the most is back!
It has been 35 years since we last saw the ghost with the most on our screens. Finally, Tim Burton has given us a fresh look at BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE. Following the release of a new poster for the film yesterday, Warner Bros promised that a new trailer was on the way… and they certainly delivered! The fantastic new trailer has emerged and plunges the Deetz family into chaos, particularly affecting Jenna Ortega’s character, Astrid Deetz. At a low point, she summons the spirit of the vengeful Beetlejuice, who has been waiting an eternity to exact his revenge.
So, without further ado, it’s showtime. Watch the trailer below.
HERE LIES BETELGEUSE
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, co-creators and co-showrunners of Netflix’s Wednesday, have written the long-gestating sequel. Tim Burton’s longtime collaborator Danny Elfman is returning to compose the score, and Brad Pitt’s Plan B is producing the sequel for Warner Bros.
Naturally, Michael Keaton returns as the legendary Beetlejuice and collaborates with Tim Burton again. Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara are returning cast members as Lydia Deetz and Delia, respectively. Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux are new additions to the franchise. Rounding out the cast is Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid.
In addition to the new trailer, Warner Bros. also shared the first character posters from the film. The collection includes all the major players, including Lydia, Delia, Astrid, and Beetlejuice, the ghost with the most himself. Scroll through and check them out below.
RELEASE
Sadly, details about the sequel are a closely guarded secret, known only to those in the afterlife. But with Michael Keaton returning as the ghost with the most and Monica Bellucci starring as his wife, maybe some marital hijinks are on the cards. Either way, all will be revealed when this awesome sequel unleashes the sandworms in cinemas on September 6, 2024.
