We are just days away from the final episode of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, and the galaxy’s fate hangs in the balance. With The Breen on the hunt for the Progenitor and Burnham trapped inside an alien portal, the feature-length finale promises to be epic. Clocking in at an impressive 90 minutes, the showrunners hope to send the Discovery out with a bang. But will our intrepid crew survive their battle with The Breen?
The series concludes on Paramount+ this Thursday, and in preparation, the streamer has shared some exciting updates. They have revealed the official synopsis for the final episode and provided a new image gallery with a sneak peek. Our review of the episode will be published soon. LIFE, ITSELF — Trapped inside a mysterious alien portal that defies familiar rules of time, space, and gravity, Captain Burnham must fight Moll – and the environment itself – in order to locate the Progenitors’ technology and secure it for the Federation. Meanwhile, Book puts himself in harm’s way to help Burnham survive and Rayner leads the U.S.S. Discovery in an epic winner-takes-all battle against Breen forces.

The fifth season of Discovery features a great cast, including Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira, and Callum Keith Rennie as Rayner. Additionally, the season will have two recurring guest stars, Elias Toufexis as L’ak and Eve Harlow as Moll.
CBS Studios produces the series in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. The executive producers include Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth. Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise are the co-showrunners.
RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
The final episode arrives amid a plethora of news from the Star Trek universe. Paramount has confirmed that STRANGE NEW WORLDS has been renewed for a fourth season.
