It is almost time to experience the day the world went quiet. On June 27th, we will go back in time to discover the truth behind the silence with A Quiet Place: Day One. The movie is a prequel to the brilliant first two films in the franchise with a third chapter on the way. This new prequel features Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou in the lead roles. Creator John Krasinski co-provides the story for the film as well as helping produce the film.

Lupita Nyong’o as “Samira” and Joseph Quinn as “Eric” in A Quiet Place: Day One from Paramount Pictures.

Krasinski has handed the directorial reins to Michael Sarnoski, who scripts the movie from the story idea from both himself and Krasinski. This is based on the characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. Joining Krasinski in producing the film are Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. Paramount Pictures has released a new featurette for the film. Stay quiet, stay alive as we take our look.

THE PREMISE

Taking place before the first film, a woman named Sam must survive an invasion in New York City by bloodthirsty alien creatures with ultrasonic sound hearing.

Despite not featuring Krasinski or Emily Blunt this time around, we are assured that we are in for more jumping in our seats, and frights as ever. Throw in the fact we will discover how it all began and we could be in for yet another brilliant chapter in the franchise in the only way John Krasinski knows how to bring it to us.

A Quiet Place: Day One will demand we stay quiet, and stay alive when it opens in the UK on June 27th, and in the U.S.A on June 28th.
