The Xenomorph returns to haunt us one more in the final trailer for Alien: Romulus. In cinemas on August 16th. Get ready to scream again!
In space, no one can hear you scream. Not anymore. The final full-length trailer for Alien: Romulus has emerged like the Chestburster itself. The new movie, directed by Fede Alvarez, will have us screaming once again when it hits cinemas on August 16th. Set in between the original Alien and its sequel, Aliens, the film looks to be a solid return to form. Originally, the film was going straight to streaming, as the Predator prequel Prey did. Thankfully, 20th Century Studios has learned from that experience and is releasing the film theatrically. Watch out for unexpected Facehuggers as we take our final look before release. Be warned, the trailer contains strong language and violent scenes.
SYNOPSIS
Set between the events of Alien and Aliens, the story concerns a group of young space colonists who, while scavenging a derelict space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in their universe.

CAST
The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. It is directed by Fede Álvarez, who co-wrote it with Rodo Sayagues. Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, and Walter Hill produced the film via Scott Free Productions and Brandywine Productions. While Benjamin Wallfisch has the daunting task of scoring the film. As the film is set between the first two films in the franchise, can we hope to hear cues from Jerry Goldsmith’s and James Horner’s scores? Let’s hope so.

Fede Alvarez has a great track record when it comes to horror movies. With the remake of Evil Dead and both Don’t Breathe movies, he could pull off something brilliant. The franchise is in need of revitalizing. While the previous two films have been decent enough, the Alien franchise has been flagging for a while. With Ridley Scott on hand as a producer and Alvarez at the helm, this could be the movie both the franchise and we need.

The Xenomorph will emerge from the shadows again when Alien: Romulus opens on August 16th.
