Thirty-six years after the original movie, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will spook the cinema from September 6th.
This September, the ghost with the most is back! And it’s about time, almost thirty-six years, to be exact. After years of rumours and false starts, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice will be haunting cinema screens. Michael Keaton reprises his arguably most famous role (after Batman, of course) as the main character. He is joined in the sequel by Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, and Willem Dafoe. Tim Burton once more directs the fun and mayhem that only the ghost with the most can cause and provide.
The original movie’s fans have been crying out for a second part ever since the film opened in 1988. The sequel has been in gestation since 1990. Tim Burton hired Daniel Waters to write a sequel. However, Keaton, Burton, and Walters moved on to Batman Returns instead. The movie has been in and out of consideration at Warner Bros for quite some time, and many people believed the follow-up would never come to fruition. But now, the sequel is almost here. In other great news, Danny Elfman has returned to score the sequel, giving the film an even better sense of continuity. The new trailer for the film is here. It’s Showtime!.
