THE OFFICIAL CHART
This week, there is a single new entry and two re-entries into the placings. As such, we bid goodbye to Anyone But You, Kung Fu Panda 4, and Back To Black. But what are these three titles, and where have they entered the chart? Let’s find out now.

THE APES TOGETHER STILL STRONG AT THE TOP!
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes marks a second week as the UK’s Number 1 film. The fourth instalment of the rebooted Planet of the Apes series outsell the rest of the Top 5 combined, on digital downloads only, to land another week at the top of the Official Film Chart. (Read our review here.)

IF BECOMES A REALITY AT NUMBER TWO!
This week’s highest new entry is IF at Number 2, starring Cailey Fleming and Ryan Reynolds, and written and directed by John Krasinski. Featuring a star-studded voice cast including Krasinski, Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emily Blunt, George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, Maya Rudolph and many more, IF tells the story of a 12-year-old girl going through a tough time, who begins seeing everyone’s imaginary friends (IFs) who were left behind as their children have grown up. She decides to help Cal (Reynolds) try and unite the IFs with new children but they discover there might be more to it than first thought. (Read our review here.)

THE CIVIL WAR COOLS DOWN AT NUMBER THREE!
Civil War drops one place to Number 3.

TWISTER BLOWS INTO THE CHART!
1996 disaster film Twister, at Number 4, starring Helen Hunt and the late Bill Paxton, spins up nine places following the release of its standalone sequel Twisters in cinemas.

THE FROZEN EMPIRE REMAINS FROZEN!
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire holds once again at Number 5. (Read our review here.)

OPPENHEIMER BLASTS BACK!
One year on from Barbenheimer, Oppenheimer returns to the Top 10, climbing 5 places to Number 6.

DUNE: PART TWO REFUSES TO SHIFT!

THE NEW EMPIRE IS CRUMBLING!
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire falls four places to Number 8. (Read our review here.)

FURIOSA RUNS OUT OF GAS!
The post-apocalyptic action film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga drops six places to Number 9. (Read our review here)

ABIGAIL STILL DRINKING THE CHART’S BLOOD!
And finally, horror-comedy Abigail continues to sink its fangs into a chart place by holding steady at Number 10. (Read our review here)

WHAT YOU GONNA DO NOW THAT THE BAD BOYS ARE ON PVOD?
And that brings this week’s top ten chart to a close. This week sees the PVOD release of one of this summer’s biggest blockbusters in the shape of Bad Boys: Ride Or Die. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return for the fourth time in an all-action comedy-thriller that is a brilliant night’s entertainment. The film contains some outstanding set pieces along the way that fit hand in hand with the comedic elements. (Read our review here.) If you’re a fan of the franchise or simply want an entertaining night in, you can rent the film for £15.99 or buy to keep early for £19.99.
