The new Fortnite x Star Wars crossover is live! You can now get Moff Gideon, IG-11, and Grogu from The Mandalorian in the item shop!
The latest Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration is now live. The new characters from The Mandalorian, like Moff Gideon, IG-11, and Grogu, are now available to buy from the item shop after being revealed by Dave Filoni during the Fortnite x Disney D23 showcase this past weekend. The new characters look amazing! Giancarlo Esposito’s likeness is spot on, and IG-11 is incredibly detailed with many moving parts and mannerisms. And how adorable is Grogu? This little alien munches on snacks get excited when you open chests and loves a good battle. But how much will this little bundle of joy set you back? Let’s unpack these new skins and check out what’s available.

MOFF GIDEON STRIKES BACK!
Although Grogu is utterly adorable, let’s start with Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon. The infamous Imperial Tyrant is Din Djarin’s arch-nemesis, and his arrival in Fortnite represents a significant win for the fans. His skin is super realistic and looks just like the actor. The character comes with his Beskar armor from Season 3, and you can choose to have him wear his helmet. Plus, a built-in emote lets you unleash his Force Lance, which you can then use as your pickaxe. To top it off, a new reactive weapons wrap glows when you fire his weaponry, matching the power of his Force Lance.
The character costs 1,500 V-Bucks, and the Force Lance and emote are an additional 1,200 V-Bucks. The weapons wrap will set you back another 500 V-Bucks. However, if you buy the bundle, you’ll save some V-Bucks. The total price for the bundle is 2,500 V-Bucks, so it’s better to grab the set at the reduced price.

IG-11 & GROGU
Mando’s crew is ready to stand up to Gideon’s threat. First off, there’s IG-11. The reprogrammed assassin droid looks like its TV version and has movable head and body parts. It also comes with an IG Droid Destructor pickaxe. Though there’s no weapons wrap, the addition of Grogu as a back bling compensates for it. Grogu attaches to your character’s back and is adorable. The little alien sits in Mando’s pouch and can be seen munching on a turquoise macaroon. That’s not all: Grogu has some fun behaviors that make him even more cute – he cheers and waves his hands when you open chests, giggles, and gets excited during battles.
The set’s pricing is pretty reasonable. IG-11 costs 1,500 V-Bucks, and his pickaxe is 800 V-Bucks. Meanwhile, Grogu is available for 600 V-Bucks and can be attached to any character’s back. So, if you unlocked him in the exclusive event a few seasons ago, you can finally have him riding with Din Djarin. Buying the characters and weapons as a set is cheaper. The bundle is available for 1,250 V-Bucks, which is a great deal.

MANDO STRIKES BACK
These new skins are absolutely amazing and worth the money! Thanks to Disney’s massive investment in Epic Games, we can expect a ton of fantastic Disney characters to make their way into the game. If that’s not enough, characters from James Cameron’s Avatar are coming soon, and a huge Disneyworld is being planned. So, the future of Fortnite looks fantastic, and the characters from The Mandalorian are the next reward for its players.
