Attention, Spidey fans! Get ready to swing into action because the Iron Spider is appearing in the newest Fortnite x Marvel update. It’s time to suit up and join the battle!
Get ready, Spider-Man fans, because the Iron Spider is coming to Fortnite. Just days after the new Fortnite x Marvel ABSOLUTE DOOM Battle Pass launched and set players off on a whirlwind adventure to stop the rise of Doctor Doom, Epic Games has announced that Peter Parker is swinging back into action. The glorious new skin is based on the character’s appearance in the comics and not the version seen in the MCU, which will hopefully be coming to the item shop sometime in the future.
Marvel and Epic Games have gone above and beyond to bring this skin to their player base, and the set reflects their efforts. In addition to the skin, the set boasts the Iron Spider tentacles, a weapons wrap, a back bling, an emote, and a Festival guitar. But making this set even more exciting is that his tentacles also double as his glider, meaning Spidey glides to the ground in style.

MY SPIDER SENSE IS TINGLING!
This set is a premium collection, considering the accessories included, and the cost reflects that. However, as always, Fortnite will split the components to make the set more affordable. However, should you wish to buy the whole set, it will set you back an eye-watering 2,600 V-Bucks. Read on for a breakdown of the cost for each component.
- Iron Spider Bundle: 2,600 V-Bucks
- Iron Spider Skin (With Back Bling, Glider, LEGO variant, and Pickaxe): 2,000 V-Bucks.
- Emote: 500 V-Bucks
- Weapons Wrap: 500 V-Bucks
- Guitar: 1,000 V-Bucks

RELEASE
As mentioned, although the new ABSOLUTE DOOM season is still in its infancy, the new Iron Spider set is swinging into the item store THIS FRIDAY. So, Marvel fans can look forward to deploying to Castle Doom as the Iron Spider all weekend, which is super exciting. The Fortnite x Marvel collaboration has delivered some sensational characters in recent weeks. In addition to the plethora of characters in the Battle Pass, Cyclops, Jubilee, and Colossus from the X-Men were released recently. Marvel’s mighty mutants arrived just weeks after Loki and Sylvie arrived from the Disney+ series, and Wolverine and Deadpool debuted after their box-office-conquering movie.

Thankfully, these new releases are only the first of many planned for the rest of the year. In addition to new quirky variants of Sabertooth and Deadpool, Disney announced a treasure trove of new characters at this year’s D23 Expo. Many of Disney’s greatest villains are arriving in the fall, with The Incredibles launching soon afterward. So, the future is bright for the fruitful relationship between Epic Games and Disney, and long may it continue. The fun continues this Friday when the Fortnite Iron Spider swings into the game!
