Netflix Previews A Colossal Watchlist of Awesomeness For 2024

A Victoria Beckham documentary, Being Gordon Ramsay, Hunting The London Bombers and more revealed by Netflix at the Edinburgh TV Festival.

Netflix has announced seven new commissions at the Edinburgh TV Festival. These include a documentary series about Victoria Beckham. Being Gordon Ramsay. Take That. 7/7: Hunting the London Bombers. And Matchroom: The Greatest Showmen (w/t). The team announced two scripted series, How to Kill Your Family and Legends. Further to this, it was announced Season 2 of Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw’s upcoming spy thriller Black Doves produced by SISTER and Noisy Bear is incoming. They also announced S2 of Love is Blind: UK.

ABOUT TAKE THAT:

Take That is the story of one of the greatest boy bands in UK history. For more than 30 years, they have brought us hit after hit, 12 of which became UK number ones. With access to Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen and featuring interviews with Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, this series will give unprecedented insight into one of the most successful and well-loved British bands.

Netflix is in production on a documentary series about multi-Michelin-starred British chef Gordon Ramsay. The series will follow Gordon Ramsay over 9 months in the lead-up to his biggest restaurant venture to date. The opening of 5 culinary experiences in London’s 22 Bishopsgate, the City of London’s tallest building. The series will have exclusive access to the Ramsay family, as Gordon balances other work commitments and life as a husband and father, with his wife Tana and their 6 children.

7/7: Hunting The London Bombers is the untold story of one of the most devastating terror attacks on British soil – and the three weeks of panic, paranoia, and manhunts that changed Britain. 20 years ago, four bombs exploded in London killing 52 people and injuring more than 700. This multi-perspective series will track the frenzied weeks that followed and the hunt to find those responsible. Featuring previously unseen archives and exclusive interviews with survivors, family members, investigators, intelligence services and those closest to the events, the series will reveal the shockwaves that followed the first explosions. As the county struggled to make sense of shocking and unprecedented events, the authorities raced against time to identify the bombers and stop further attacks.

With unprecedented access to Barry Hearn, his son Eddie and the whole Matchroom team at the Essex-based HQ. This documentary series will dive into the drama of the family empire that has become synonymous with British sporting culture.

Based on extensive research and interviews with those involved, the story follows an unlikely group of British customs employees sent undercover to infiltrate some of the country’s most dangerous criminal drug gangs.

Netflix also announced year three of the Documentary Talent Fund. The Fund which supports the work of the next generation of documentary filmmakers will give five filmmakers, and their teams, the chance to make a short documentary film with a budget of £30,000 each.

All teams will be under the guidance of Netflix and other filmmaking professionals.
